This porcelain reticulated basket features a central transfer portrait of Wilhelm II, who reigned as the last German Emperor and King of Prussia from 1888 to 1918. The basket is molded with a pierced border and finished with hand-painted accents, including oak leaf sprays flanking the portrait and black, white, and red shield motifs at each end referencing the imperial German colors. The portrait depicts Wilhelm II in full uniform with visible military decorations. The ceramic has no visible maker’s mark on the underside. The item measures approximately 12.5" long and 7.5" wide. There is slight wear to the gilding and minor age-appropriate surface marks. The piece represents German imperial memorabilia likely produced in the early 20th century. PM
