Two Winterhilfswerk (WHW) 1938-1939 Ostmark Trachten fundraising pins featuring machine-embroidered depictions of traditional Austrian regional dress. One pin represents Salzburg and is housed in an off-white molded plastic frame, while the second depicts Vorarlberg in a red molded plastic frame. Each measures 1" x 1.5" and retains its raised regional name molded into the lower edge of the frame. Issued following the annexation of Austria, these embroidered costume pins were distributed as charitable fundraising pieces and remain attractive examples of the Ostmark Trachten series, displaying colorful textile workmanship and light age-related wear.
