Unmatched Pair of Winterhilfswerk (WHW) embroidered Ostmark Trachten donation badges from the 1938-1939 fundraising campaigns following the annexation of Austria. Each badge features a machine-embroidered female figure wearing traditional regional costume, identified by the molded plastic frames as Kärnten (Carinthia) and Steiermark (Styria). The embroidered panels are secured within molded plastic frames, with gray cardboard backing panels and original horizontal pinback fittings retained on the reverse. Both badges exhibit light age-related wear, minor soiling, and typical handling marks while remaining well preserved. Each measures 1 1/4" x 1-3/4". OT
