This Imperial German student cap (Schülermütze) is constructed of bright red wool with a royal blue wool band accented by yellow piping. The front retains two Imperial German cockades mounted over metal ventilation grommets, a construction commonly found on late 19th- and early 20th-century German student and cadet school headwear. The interior is lined in off-white cotton and exhibits period wear, age-related soiling, and scattered staining consistent with long-term use and storage. The cap remains structurally sound and displays vibrant original colors, making it an attractive example of Imperial-era German academic or student uniform headgear.
