Original unissued East German NVA M56/76 steel helmet with olive-drab finish, complete leather liner, foam padding, and adjustable chin strap. The interior strap is stamped "MADE IN EAST GERMANY." Adjustable one-size-fits-most design. Never field used, showing only minor storage scuffs and age-related yellowing to the foam padding. An excellent Cold War display example of standard National People’s Army combat headgear. SC
