This original service album documents the military career of a Heer (Army) Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), primarily spanning the years 1940 to 1945. The 7.5" x 10" brown faux-leather cover features the embossed title Meine Dienstzeit and a distinct white-painted Stahlhelm motif. Across 33 pages, the collection holds 152 original photographs, including a rare set of four inherited World War I-era portraits. The wartime narrative provides extensive visual documentation of NCO life, featuring large company-level formations, studio portraits of the subject in an M36 tunic with clear rank insignia, and candid barracks scenes.
