This professional-grade patrol overcoat is crafted from thick, durable black cowhide leather. A standard-issue garment from the 1970s through the 1990s. The "visible metal snaps" are actually the female ends of heavy-duty spring snaps used to secure a removable thermal liner or storm flap. The design features raglan-style shoulders for increased mobility, fitted with integrated leather epaulettes for rank insignia. The front is configured with a double-breasted-style wind flap secured by heavy-duty metal spring snaps and a concealed button track. Two deep, angled waist pockets with protective flaps provide ample storage, while the rear includes a single walking vent for ease of movement. The interior is unlined but finished with high-quality bound seams and includes a reinforced leather hanging loop. This garment shows character-building surface creasing and mild edge wear consistent with active duty use in the late 20th century. The chest measures at 23" across, or 46" full measurement around.
