This vintage German military heavy wool greatcoat (Mantel) dates to the World War II era and is tailored in the classic double-breasted long-coat pattern. The coat features a contrasting brown wool collar with throat hook-and-eye closure, two rows of six pebbled metal buttons, deep turnback cuffs, and two slanted flap waist pockets. The back is constructed with a central inverted box pleat and buttoned vent tabs. The original pebbled buttons retain clear backmarks stamped "DEUTSCHE ARBEIT." The coat remains in fair to good condition, showing visible moth damage and fraying along the collar edge as well as scattered moth holes near the lower skirt hem, while retaining its full original hardware and silhouette.
