This postwar West German police or municipal service heavy wool greatcoat (Mantel) dates to the late 20th century and is tailored in a double-breasted long-coat pattern. The coat features dark navy heavy wool construction with wide lapels, silver bullion rank chevrons on both sleeves, shoulder epaulet loops, and two slanted flap waist pockets. The front is fitted with two rows of silver-tone pebbled metal buttons, matching the hardware on the rear waist half-belt. An internal cloth manufacturer tag reads "70 - 80 Hamburg" alongside blue ink-stamped sizing codes 108–114 (approx. 43"–45" chest) and 184– (tall length fit). A secondary woven hanging loop reads "BÜ-BO". The coat remains in very good condition with light service wear, clean fabric overall, and fully intact original hardware and sleeve insignia. GE
