Tailored from green wool, this West German Polizei service tunic features four front flap pockets with silver-toned buttons and notched lapels. Manufactured by JOBA in Waghäusel—as indicated on the interior maker label showing size 58 and institutional service numbers—the garment represents the standardized green-and-beige police uniform system adopted across West Germany during the 1970s. The shoulder epaulettes display four star rank insignia denoting a chief executive police rank (Leitender Polizeidirektor), while the upper left sleeve bears an embroidered Hamburg state police (Polizei Hamburg) coat-of-arms patch. The tunic exhibits light surface lint, minor fabric creasing, and faint spots on the sleeves, remaining in well-preserved overall condition. OT
