A vintage three-tier folding serving stand, likely dating to the mid-20th century. The stand is constructed from silver-toned metal, typically chrome or silver plating, and features a central stem topped with an integral shaped handle. The assembly is supported by a stepped, weighted circular base, the underside of which features a central plate secured by two hexagonal nuts. It comprises three circular plates, with the two lower plates designed to pivot upwards for compact storage. Each plate is decorated with pierced filigree in a sunburst pattern of diamond and scrolling shapes, with the centres further embellished with etched foliate and scroll motifs. Height approx. 27 cm (only inches shown on tape: approx. 10.5 inches) Plate diameter approx. 18 cm (approx. 7 inches). Condition: The item is in good overall condition with light surface wear and minor scratches consistent with age and domestic use. There are small areas of localised tarnishing and pitting to the metal surface. The folding mechanism appears functional.
