This collection features a diverse group of contemporary literature, popular thrillers, romance novels, and reference materials. The assortment includes numerous works by best-selling authors such as John Grisham (The Racketeer), David Baldacci (Hell's Corner), Lee Child (Worth Dying For), Sandra Brown (Low Pressure), Jodi Picoult (The Storyteller), and Nicholas Sparks (A Bend in the Road). Contemporary fiction is further represented by authors including Maeve Binchy, Kate Morton, and Liane Moriarty. The lot contains titles from popular series such as E.L. James’s Fifty Shades of Grey and Sylvia Day’s Bared to You. Non-fiction and reference titles include Michelle by Liza Mundy, a burgundy-bound volume of Encyclopedia Britannica (Volume 5, Carthussians to Cockroft), and Reader’s Digest’s Strange Stories, Amazing Facts. The volumes consist of a mixture of hardcover editions, many with original dust jackets, trade paperbacks, and mass-market paperbacks. Visible publishers include Viking, Doubleday, Vintage, Anchor, Penguin, and Reader's Digest. Bindings include publisher’s cloth, some with gilt-stamped spines as seen on Stephen Leacock’s Canada and the Encyclopedia Britannica volume. Condition: The books are in generally good, used condition. Common signs of wear include bumped corners, light edge wear and occasional small tears to dust jackets, and creasing to the spines of the paperback editions. Some older volumes, notably Taylor Caldwell’s Glory and the Lightning, show typical tanning to the page edges. The leather-like binding of the Encyclopedia Britannica volume displays moderate shelf wear and rubbing at the extremities.
