A collection of Reader's Digest Condensed Books uniformly bound in dark burgundy marbled faux-leather hardcovers. The volumes feature gilt-stamped decorative leaf-and-crown motifs at the head of the spines, followed by the series title, a list of included works, and an RD monogram at the tail. Titles visible across the spines include The Day of the Jackal, Wheels, Lord of the Far Island, The Boys from Brazil, A Bag of Marbles, and Great Lion of God. One volume in the collection is identified as a First Edition published and printed in Canada by The Reader's Digest Association (Canada) Ltd. in 1971, featuring condensations of A Timeless Place, The San Francisco Earthquake, Wheels, People I Have Loved, Known or Admired, and Summer of the Red Wolf. Condition: The volumes show light shelf wear and rubbing to the gilt lettering on the spines. Minor fraying and bumping are present at the spine ends. One volume is significantly narrower than the others, and one volume is currently displayed inverted in the group.
