This is an antique Kämmer & Reinhardt ,Simon & Halbig doll, model 403, standing 22.5 inches tall. The doll features brown sleep eyes, an open mouth with four upper teeth, and a blond mohair wig with a large ribbon bow. The bisque head displays fine painted facial features including feathered brows and rosy cheeks. The jointed composition body shows general age wear, with paint loss, surface scuffs, and soiling visible throughout the arms, hands, legs, and torso. May have been restrung or internally restored. Fingers and toes show some minor chipping and paint loss. The doll is dressed in a gold-toned pleated dress with white satin ruffled trim, along with knit socks and tied shoes. The outfit is completed by a matching large hair bow. The back of the head is marked with "K * R Simon & Halbig 403 Germany."
