This 28-inch porcelain doll is a vintage reproduction of an antique German character doll originally created by Kämmer & Reinhardt and Simon & Halbig. Crafted and hand-engraved by doll artist Mary Mackey in 1995, the doll reflects the 20th century revival of classic German molds popular among hobbyists during the 1970s. The doll features striking blue glass eyes, a blonde wig, jointed composition body, and is dressed in a yellow lace-trimmed outfit with matching bonnet, socks, and shoes. The back of the head is inscribed with 'Mary Mackey / 1995’ as well as original mold markings. Period-appropriate undergarments are included. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit.
