German made antique bisque head doll possibly by Kestner, measuring 17 inches in height. The back of the head is slightly illegible but resembles placement of Kestner style marks. There is an added black cross marking, unfounded. Resembles Cuno & Otto, Dressel JUTTA doll but markings don’t seem to match. The doll has a jointed composition and wood body, which has been professionally restrung. Visible surface wear is present throughout the body and joints, including areas of scuffing, paint loss, small cracks, and general age-related wear. One finger is broken. The doll comes with a paired synthetic wig and a full set of period-style clothing, including a floral dress, white apron, lace-trimmed undergarments, black stockings, brown shoes, and a yellow ribbon. Condition verified as worn with professional restringing, as noted. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
