J.D. Kestner #154 bisque doll, measuring 16 inches and featuring the iconic "dolly-face" mold produced from the late 1890s through the early 1900s. The doll has a full shouldered bisque head with painted features, sleep eyes, and an open mouth with visible teeth. Its body is constructed from kid leather, with notable repairs visible on the arms and a foot. The lot includes a clothing ensemble such as a brown and navy coat set with matching hat, a blue dress, undergarments, and black socks. Backof the head marked with mold number and "made in Germany." **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
