This is an antique German Deposition #3 doll, marked Germany on the back of the bisque head. Commonly attributed to makers such as Simon & Halbig, Kestner, or Heinrich Handwerck. The doll measures 12 inches tall with a kid leather body, fixed blue glass eyes, open mouth with teeth, and pierced ears for earrings. The original pantaloons are sewn on and additional clothing pieces are included. There is an evident repair to the face with visible crack lines, as shown in the images. The kid leather arms and legs display some wear and staining.
