This 12-inch bisque-headed doll by Ernst Heubach features a delicately painted face, fixed blue glass eyes, and an open mouth revealing teeth. The doll's body is constructed of kid leather, with cloth lower legs and bisque lower arms. Her head is marked with the horseshoe insignia associated with Ernst Heubach, and she retains a paired mohair wig. The body shows notable age-related wear, including soiling and surface wear to the leather, fraying at some seams, and minor paint loss and soiling on the bisque hands. She comes dressed in period-appropriate undergarments, socks, and shoes, which are included and shown separately. This piece presents as a collectible example of early 20th-century German doll artistry, with all clothing and body parts original or period, exhibiting gentle wear consistent with age and handling. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
