J.D. Kestner Baby Jean Bisque Doll, ca. 1910s

Presenting what appears to be a J.D. Kestner doll from Germany, circa 1910s, molded as number 131 and widely recognized as a "Baby Jean" or "Hilda" style. This 8.5-inch example features the classic solid dome bisque head with finely molded and pad hair and delicately painted features, including blue glass fixed eyes and open mouth with teeth. Its composition body displays jointed arms and legs, showing typical wear consistent with age, including light scuffing, minor paint wear, and scattered stains, particularly at the joints and extremities. Comes dressed in hand-knit, pale blue two-piece outfit.
