Produced in Germany between 1901 and 1921, this Armand Marseille "Floradora" bisque doll measures approximately 15 inches tall. The Floradora series is recognized for its molded bisque head, open mouth with tiny white teeth, and glass sleep eyes. Uike typical European-style dresses, this example features a distinctive sewn-on stylized Native American outfit. The ensemble includes a faux-suede dress with fringe trim, detailed geometric beaded applique, a beaded headband with a feather, and layered beaded necklaces. "Made in Germany Floradora" is marked on the back of the head. The doll’s composition arms and legs are jointed, and it is displayed with a doll stand. An uncommon example due to its regional souvenir attire. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
