This is a 12 inch Armand Marseille bisque-headed doll, marked on the back of the head with "Made in Germany" and the mold number 3600. Produced by Armand Marseille, who was active primarily from 1890 to 1930, this doll features a composition wood jointed body that shows signs of age, with paint loss, surface wear, and some visible cracks on arms and legs. Possible light restorations. The detailed bisque head has expressive brown glass sleep eyes, an open mouth with teeth, and painted features. The doll has a paired wig, period lace dress, undergarments, socks, shoes, and bonnet, all shown in the accompanying images. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
