This 14-inch antique doll is of unknown maker, believed to be German, featuring a bisque head and full shoulders. The head bears the mark "2/0" at the back. It is paired with a kid leather body exhibiting a visible repaired area on one leg, as shown in the photographs. The doll is outfitted in newer period-style clothing with lace accents, including a light blue sash, and is finished with a newer mohair wig. Accessories such as socks and shoes are included, enhancing the display. This lot offers a display-ready example of classic, but mysterious craftsmanship in early doll making, retaining its historical presence alongside updates for restoration and presentation. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
