This all-original boy doll features a distinctive tin head by Minerva, a well-known German manufacturer renowned for their tin and composition dolls during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Measuring 9.5 inches tall, this example displays hand-painted facial features, molded and painted blonde hair, as well as cloth hands and legs dressed in black socks and leather shoes. The body is dressed in an era-appropriate hand-crocheted set. Some paint loss is evident on the head, reflecting its age and storied past. A collectible artifact of early German toy craftsmanship.
