Premium 32-inch antique German child doll, a collaboration between Heinrich Handwerck and Simon & Halbig. This large cabinet-size mold 4 features a socket head sculpted and fired by Simon & Halbig, with crisp, incised markings across the neck denoting both makers. The doll is assembled on a wood and composition ball-jointed body typical of Handwerck, with a bisque head, finely painted complexion, open mouth with inset teeth, pierced ears, and a full curly light brown/blonde wig. Includes age-appropriate period dress, undergarments, stockings, and shoes. Condition: some visible paint wear, soiling, and typical joint/craquelure wear, overall, structurally intact with original clothing set. One leg shows signs of restoration as shown. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit.
