This collection includes a 1909 bilingual edition of Luther's Small Catechism, Friedrich Gerstäcker's Germelshausen from 1902, and Theodor Storm's Immensee dated 1912. The volumes are bound in brown, tan, and dark green cloth hardcovers featuring period stamping and publisher logos from Concordia Publishing House, D.C. Heath & Co., and Charles E. Merrill Company. Germelshausen contains extensive handwritten period marginalia in pencil on the interior flyleaves.Height: 6-7 inches.Condition ranges from poor to good with notable damage to two volumes. The 1909 catechism exhibits significant loss of cloth at the spine head and frayed edges, while the Immensee volume shows prominent white spotting and moisture residue on the rear board. General shelf wear, bumped corners, and age-toning are present throughout the lot.
