This hinged "Cabinet Egg" signed on the inside by American artist James Weeks, (1922–1998) for the Bernath studio. His whimsical decorative pieces appear to be highly sought after by collectors of folk art and Americana. Unlike mass-produced items, his are individual works of art, with no two are exactly alike.Height: 2.75 inches.The item is in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. The hand painted enamel remains vibrant and intact. The metal hinge and clasp are secure and function properly.
