A hand-painted Tonala ceramic seed jar features sloths and tropical birds rendered with sgraffito outlines and a high-gloss finish. The lot includes a brass vessel with a heavily textured impasto coating depicting a kingfisher and lotus flower. Ceramic jar diameter: 5.75 inchesMetal vessel diameter: 4.75 inches.The ceramic jar is in good condition with minor surface wear and small glaze flakes at the aperture. The metal vessel is in poor condition with widespread flaking and significant loss to the textured finish.
