This pair of cast brass bookends by Philadelphia Mfg. Co. features detailed owl figures perched atop stacked books. Each base is cast with the word HISTORY on the spine and retains the original manufacturer foil label on the underside. The metal displays a polished finish with dark antiqued accents highlighting the textured feathering and book pages.Height: 6.25 inches (15.9 cm).The bookends are in very good vintage condition with minor surface wear and faint scratches consistent with age. Small spots of oxidation are visible in the recessed areas of the casting. The original red felt pads and manufacturer labels remain well-attached to the undersides.
