Antique German empire form cup and saucer. Decorated with a hand painted scene on the cup framed in gold gilding. Heavy gilding to the interior of the cup and foot of the cup. Gold bands around the saucer. The cup has the name of the scene in black on the front of the cup, "Das Marmor Palais bei Potsdam." The cup and saucer are marked with the blue scepter mark used by KPM Berlin. The cup also has the red eagle holding the scepter mark used by KPM Berlin between 1823 and 1832. Has some wear to the gilding and some discoloration from the firing on the bottom of the cup, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 3 7/8 inches wide including the handle x 4 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 3/4 inches wide.
