A large food mold to use for decoration in your China cabinet or shelf, or to use to cook. The large thinly molded ceramic food mold has the reverse image of a lion at rest that would when used show the lion full on at the top of your aspic or pudding. It has two holes at one end to use for hanging the piece in the kitchen. The glaze is a soft, shiny white glaze. The foot is raised and partially glazed. MEASUREMENTS 9 ¼" (23.5 cm) long x 7 ½" (19.0 cm) wide x 3 ¾" (9.5 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 11.6 oz (785 g) CONDITION The mold has two hairlines on opposite sides of the mold extending from the rim. There is wear and staining in the central well. There are glaze frits and wear on the foot and mouth rim, as well as kiln flaws, such as bumps and black spots. A fun large sized food mold to give a touch of age and substance to a kitchen display. Period: Mid 19th Century Materials: Ceramic Dimensions: 9.25"W × 7.5"D × 3.75"H
