A fun food mold from the Victorian era with a seashore theme that was used in the day to make puddings and jellies with little crabs and seashells. A ceramic mold is large and heavy. The foot is deep and partially glazed and the indented base is glazed. The glaze on the exterior is finely crackled. The glazes are thick, off-white, smooth and shiny throughout. MEASUREMENTS 8 ¼" (21.0 cm) long x 6 ¼" (15.9 cm) wide x 5 7/8" (15.0 cm) tall. Weighs 2 lbs 9.8 oz (1190 g) CONDITION The mold has one tight crack that extends from the mouth rim and two hairlines on the interior walls. The hairlines do not show through to the outside. There are several chips on the foot ring, but no other breaks, cracks, or repairs. The glaze on both the inside and outside has darkened from many years of use. A large fun food mold to use to make that crab mousse. Period: Late 19th Century Materials: Ceramic Dimensions: 8.25"W × 6.25"D × 5.88"H
