A very heavy gold-colored bookend form the 1950s that is a fun depiction of children in a tug of war. A dog is even caught up in the fun. The base is flat and is covered by brown felt. The bookend was made by the Philadelphia Metal Craftsman company. A blue and white paper label on the felt reads PM CRAFTSMAN EATON PARK FLORIDA Hand Craftsmanship The Mark of American Quality. The label has a design of a metal worker pouring metal. There are the letters "pm" above the worker. MEASUREMENTS 5 ¼ in (13.3 cm) long x 3 3/8 in (8.4 cm) wide x 4 7/8 in (12.4 cm) tall. Weighs 3 lbs 10.2 oz. CONDITION There are no breaks, chips, dents, patina loss, or even significant scratches. There is slight wear to the felt. A great, heavy bookend to use in your library.
