A fanciful over-the-top Victorian silverplated sugar elaborately decorated with fairies riding goats. Almost every surface is decorated except for the mid body, which is absent of decoration. The handles are topped with Egyptian heads. The body rests on four very elaborate feet. The words ROCKFORD QUADRUPLE SILVER PLATE CO, the trademark of a scale, and a production number 770 are all stamped in the base. MEASUREMENTS 5 ¾" (14.6 cm) wide x 3" (7.6 cm) diameter x 6 ¾" (17.1 cm) tall. Weighs 13.4 oz (390 g) CONDITION There is a loss of silver, but it still has shined up well. The mouth rim has slight dents opposite each other. Otherwise, it's in very good condition with no breaks, cracks, or repairs. A very fun and crazy Victorian silver plate sugar that will add to your décor. It has age and whimsey. Period: Late 19th Century Origin: United States Materials: Silverplate Dimensions: 5.75"W × 3"D × 6.75"H
