A pair of cast iron bookends of horses with their heads lowered that symbolize their riders having been lost in war. They have a rich bronze patina. The casting is deep and rounded. Although they are small in size, they are heavy and will still hold up books. They have old green felt on the bases. The bookends have no hallmarks or labels. MEASUREMENTS 4 in (10.2 cm) wide x 4 1/8 in (10.5 cm) tall x 1 ¼ in (3.2 cm) deep. Weighs 3 lbs 15.0 oz. CONDITION There are no breaks, dents, or cracks. The patina is in great condition. There is wear to the green felt on the bases. A nice heavy pair of bookends to hold up your library books or add to a collection.
