A heavy and useful pair of sailing ship bookends that are riding the waves with all sails out. The iron bookends are heavy and deeply cast with a dark patina highlighted by gilding. They have old worn green felts on the bases. The word VERONA is molded into the back of both bookends. MEASUREMENTS Taller ship - 4 ¾" wide x 2" deep x 5 ¼" tall. Shorter ship - 4 ¾" wide x 2" deep x 4 ¾" tall. Total weight 4 lbs 1.8 oz (1875 g) CONDITION The one bookend has lost both of its pennants on the masts. Both show patina loss in spots from age and use. A heavy pair of old bookends to hold those books up in your library. They have a nice, aged look.
