1925 Scotty Dog Hubley Iron Bookends

A heavy and useful pair of Scotty Bookends to add to the library. A pair of cast iron bookends with a Scottish terrier design by Hubley. The iron had a bronze finish rubbed on, although only glimmers of it are now visible. They have flat bases that rest well and are covered in old felt. There are no discernible marks. I didn't take off the old felt to check for any underneath. MEASUREMENTS 5 3/8" wide x 5" tall x 2" deep. Weighs 4 lbs 13.1 oz (2185 g) CONDITION Very little of the bronze finish remains. The base felts are stained and frayed. There are rust stains on the felt and some rust showing on the bases. One bookend has a white paint stain on a corner. This same bookend has some green verdigris above the felt on the back. There are spots from on the top of both stands. A pair of fun and useful bookends for dog lovers.
