Offered is Department 56 The Heritage Village Collection Dickens' Village Series "Crown & Cricket Inn" 1st Edition, 1992 lighted porcelain. The building depicts a three-story brick inn with gray mansard roof with dormers and snow accents, red brick chimney with three gray flues, white trim, signage "The Crown & Cricket" on front and "Golden Lion Arms" on the side, green garland with red bows on balcony railing, green wreaths with red bows on bay windows, red panel door under columned portico, green-trimmed windows with yellow glow and flower boxes, small evergreen tree and snow at the base, and red tile roof section on side with dormers. Includes small gold-tone hanging flag sign with black post as pictured. Marked on bottom "DICKENS' VILLAGE SERIES 'CROWN & CRICKET INN' First in an ongoing edition of historic buildings endorsed by the 'Charles Dickens Heritage Ltd. Foundation.' Charles Dickens, the Victorian novelist, (1812-1870) while traveling, visited inns reminiscent of the Crown & Cricket. 1st Edition Limited to 1992 © Department 56 1992" with "INSPECTED BY 21/3" sticker. Measures approximately 7" tall x 5-1/2" wide x 4-1/2" deep per rulers shown. Comes in original green box with Styrofoam insert. The porcelain shows light surface dust, minor paint scuffs and light residue / loose Styrofoam flecks consistent with handling and storage; no large chips or cracks noted in photos. Light cord present as pictured; lighting not tested. The original box shows edge wear, surface scuffs and light wear to corners consistent with age and storage. Sold as-is.
