A large vintage hardcover engineering reference titled The Engineer’s Reference Library, issued by POWER and published by McGraw-Hill, Inc., New York. The title page states that the material was originally copyrighted in monthly issues of POWER magazine and that the book was available with subscriptions to the magazine. The book has a dark burgundy/maroon cloth-covered hardcover with cream lettering and the POWER logo. Likely intended as a practical working reference for engineers and industrial maintenance personnel. The book compiles practical technical articles on industrial and mechanical engineering. The table of contents shows major sections on air conditioning, lubricants, compressed air, corrosion, fans, piping, pumps, and refrigeration, with subjects such as compressor selection, troubleshooting, corrosion testing, fan controls, piping materials and joining, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, refrigerants, refrigeration controls, and equipment selection. Poor-to-Fair condition due to exterior wear and damage. The cover boards have substantial rubbing, scratches and edge/corner wear with exposed material at several corners. The upper portion of the spine covering is badly torn and partly detached/missing, with underlying binding material exposed. The remaining spine also shows heavy abrasion. The boards themselves remain present, and the book appears to remain together and readable. Interior pages are surprisingly clean and bright for its age, with relatively modest toning and no obvious writing, highlighting, major staining or torn pages visible. There is no dust jacket.
