A bundle of technology related paperback reference books. Overall, Good to Fair used condition, condition varies across book; however, all books are useable and readable with bindings intact and secure. This collection includes: 1. SPSS for Windows Step by Step: A Simple Guide and Reference, by Darren George and Paul Mallery, published by Allyn & Bacon in 1999. ISBN 0-205-28395-0 / 9780205283958. It is a 357-page instructional paperback designed to teach statistical data analysis using SPSS for Windows. Bibliographic records confirm this edition was written primarily for SPSS 7.5, while also applying to versions 6.x through 8.0. This is a hands-on statistics/software guide using screenshots and step-by-step instructions. Topics include creating and editing data files, managing data, graphs and charts, frequencies, descriptive statistics, crosstabs and chi-square tests, means, correlations, t-tests, one-way ANOVA and more advanced ANOVA procedures. The back cover notes more than 200 screenshots and over 500 step-by-step instructional boxes. Because it covers a very old version of SPSS, it is primarily useful today as an inexpensive statistics reference or for someone working with legacy software. Fair to Good used condition. The blue/green paperback cover has rubbing, scratches, creases and edge/corner wear. The page edges show handling marks and some discoloration. Interior pages are generally clean and readable. The binding is intact and secure. An important defect is that the original data disk is missing, the rear disk holder is empty and shows tearing/residue around the holder. 2. Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Graphing Calculator Guidebook, and original Texas Instruments English instruction manual for the TI-83 Plus graphing calculator. The copyright page in your copy shows ©1999, 2001, 2002, 2003 Texas Instruments Incorporated. This is the full manufacturer guidebook rather than a third-party calculator tutorial. Texas Instruments continues to maintain a library of TI calculator guidebooks and support materials. This book provides detailed operating instructions for the TI-83 Plus, beginning with calculator setup, keyboard and menus, entering calculations, graphing equations, tables, zooming and tracing graphs, variables and memory. The remainder provides detailed instructions for the calculator's mathematical, statistical, graphing and programming capabilities. Fair to Good used condition. The white glossy paperback has moderate surface rubbing, scratches, smudges and general handling wear. Corners and edges have some bending and wear, and the page block has visible dirt/discoloration from use. Interior pages remain clean, legible and substantially intact, and the binding is secure.
