Lot of vintage paperback books featuring classic adult fiction and horror genre. Traditional soft paperback construction with printed paper covers and paper pages. The book collection includes: 1. Peyton Place by Grace Metalious_Dell paperback, copyright 1956; shown as a Third Dell printing, October 1957. Vintage movie tie-in cover referencing the 20th Century-Fox production. 2. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley_Magnum Easy Eye Books/Lancer Books edition, complete and unabridged, with larger type for easier reading. 3. The Hand of Cain by Martin Thomas_Prestige Books paperback; copyright 1966 with First American Publication, 1967. Horror/occult novel involving murder, palmistry and supernatural themes. 4. The Amityville Horror, A True Story by Jay Anson_Bantam paperback, copyright 1977; Bantam edition August 1978, with printing history shown inside. Supernatural/haunted-house account. Overall fair vintage condition, with substantial age and reading wear. Covers show heavy creasing, rubbing, scratches, edge and corner wear, small tears, discoloration and areas of paper loss. Pages and page edges have significant age-related yellowing/browning and some staining or spotting. Frankenstein is in particularly rough condition, with the binding badly deteriorated and numerous pages/sections loose or detached; it is currently held together with a rubber band; however, all pages are present.
