A pair of decorative wall hangings featuring inspirational prose. The first item is a scroll-form document titled Desiderata, containing the poem by Max Ehrmann. It is printed on aged-effect paper with distressed edges, mounted between two dark-stained wooden dowels with decorative finials and a golden-coloured hanging cord. The printed text includes the common historical misattribution stating it was found in Old Saint Pauls Church, Baltimore, dated 1692. The second item is a framed print titled How To Stay Young, featuring the poem Youth attributed to Samuel Ullman. The text is printed on a faux-parchment background with a simulated cracked effect. It is presented in a wooden frame with a gold-toned inner slip. Both pieces exhibit a vintage-style presentation designed to mimic antique documents. Dimensions: Framed piece H approx. 46 cm (measured against a tape measure). Condition: Both items show intentional aging and distressing to the paper surfaces as part of the decorative design. There is light surface wear to the wooden frame and scroll finials. Minor dust accumulation is visible. The hanging cord on the scroll is intact but shows light wear.
