A vintage wooden basket of collapsible form, featuring a series of concentric, tiered oval rings. The accordion-style construction enables the piece to be folded flat or expanded into a deep vessel. It is fitted with a central arched handle pivotally secured to a rectangular transverse base by metal nuts and bolts. The base is supported by two small wooden block feet attached with screws. The piece is finished with a clear, natural treatment. Length approx. 24.8 cm (measured against a visible tape measure showing inches only). Condition: The item is in sound structural condition. Visible surface staining and general wear are present throughout, consistent with age and use. Small blue paint splatters are located on the interior surfaces of the wooden rings.
