A set of eleven cast pewter coasters or small side plates comprising two distinct designs. Five pieces feature a plain rim with a double-reeded edge, while six pieces feature a gadrooned rope-twist border. The set exhibits a matte grey finish characteristic of pewter. The plain-rimmed coasters are stamped on the reverse with various marks including INSTAIN within a hexagonal frame, a circular gatehouse mark, a crest featuring a figure in armour, and the script Les Potstainiers Hutois. The gadrooned coasters bear a circular heraldic crest divided into quadrants with symbols including a leaf and grapes, and the word PELT. One item retains a partial yellow paper label. Diameter approx. 11.4 cm (read from a 4.5 inch scale). Condition: The items are in used condition with a heavy patina throughout. Surfaces show scratching, pitting, and dark oxidation spots consistent with age and regular use.
