Lot of two United States Morgan silver dollars. The first is dated 1900 and shows heavy circulation wear, with dark gray and greenish toning, flattened hair and eagle detail, and numerous small marks and contact hits across both faces. The second is dated 1921 and is the last year of the series, with the shallower relief used that year; it is lightly circulated with bright silver surfaces, visible luster, and minor marks. Both coins show the obverse head of Liberty with the Phrygian cap, the word LIBERTY in the headband, E PLURIBUS UNUM above, thirteen stars, and the date below. Both reverses show the eagle with raised wings standing on a branch, holding arrows and an olive wreath, with IN GOD WE TRUST in old English lettering above and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR surrounding. Each coin weighs 26.73 grams and contains .77344 troy ounces of silver, for a total of approximately 1.55 troy ounces of silver across the pair. Metal content is 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. No mint marks are visible in the photos. Neither coin has been graded or certified. The 1921 dollar was photographed in a direct light that flattens some detail. See all item photos and ask any questions prior to bidding.
