An assembled assortment of two disparate vintage wooden chairs. The first item is a hardwood armchair featuring a spindle back with a scalloped top rail, curved arms, and turned front legs joined by double-ring-turned stretchers. The seat is fitted with hand-woven cane. The second item is an Early American revival style side chair featuring a decoratively shaped fiddle-back central splat flanked by thin spindles and turned outer stiles. It features a solid wood seat and is supported by turned legs with multiple stretchers. The side chair is finished with a layer of light green paint over an orange undercoat. Dimensions: Green chair height approx. 36.5 inches, armchair height approx. 32 inches, armchair seat height approx. 15 inches (only inches shown on tape measure). Condition: The armchair displays wear to the finish throughout, including scratches, scuffs, and finish loss, particularly concentrated on the arms and top rail. The cane seat remains intact and free of visible breaks. The green painted side chair exhibits heavy distressing with widespread paint loss, chipping, and flaking across the frame and seat, exposing the orange undercoat beneath. Both chairs exhibit structural stability consistent with age and use.
