A large-scale color lithograph after the original painting titled Wait A Minute by British artist Arthur John Elsley. The scene depicts six children in Edwardian-era attire and a rough collie dog in a garden setting. The composition shows the children gathered near an ornate stone gateway with decorative urns, with one boy in a sailor suit holding a whip while a girl leads the dog on a beaded leash. The print is signed and dated in the plate at the lower right corner ARTHUR J. ELSLEY 1903. The work is housed in a decorative gilded molded frame featuring a dark green and gold double mat. Dimensions: Frame approx. H 28.5 in x W 36.5 in (measured against a tape measure). Condition: The print exhibits scattered dark spots and foxing, most prevalent in the upper left background and on the light blue dress of the child at the far right. The gilded frame shows minor surface wear and small areas of gilding loss consistent with age.
