Old marbled boards rebacked and recornered with library cloth. Provenance: The John Crerar Library (perforated stamp to title and a few other spots); Liverpool Mechanics Institution (stamps to title page vol 1 and a few spots throughout). First complete edition in English. A defective copy. Condition Lacking leaves C 4-5 in vol 1 and several leaves from volume 2, library markings, old dampstaining throughout, a few tears, sold with all faults not subject to return.
