NO SHIPPING ~ LOCAL PICKUP ONLY > Measuring 16" in diameter x 10" tall to the upper hanger, this compact but exceptionally ornate six-light crystal chandelier is constructed in a tiered waterfall form associated with mid-century Hollywood Regency lighting. Six sockets are mounted horizontally in a spoke arrangement within the circular frame, each accepting an E12 candelabra-base bulb. The gold-finish metal framework incorporates a decorative pierced outer gallery with repeating scrollwork, while the interior is densely dressed with numerous faceted crystal beads and elongated crystal pendants arranged in descending concentric tiers. Viewed from below, the crystals create a deep cascading profile terminating toward the center, producing considerably greater visual depth than the relatively shallow 10" fixture height might suggest. The looping metal elements rising above the gallery add another decorative dimension while leaving the upper structure comparatively open. This combination of bright gilt-tone framework, abundant faceted crystal, waterfall construction and compact circular proportions is strongly consistent with Hollywood Regency crystal chandeliers of the 1960s and 1970s. Comparable period fixtures were produced in both the United States and Europe, frequently employing six lights and elaborate crystal cascades intended to maximize sparkle within a relatively modest overall diameter. No maker's label or identifying mark has been located, and we therefore make no attribution to a particular manufacturer or country of origin. The chandelier includes 6" of hanging chain connected to the original ceiling canopy and was functional when recently removed from service. Bulbs are not included. CONDITION REPORT > Presents very well overall. The numerous crystals presently in place exhibit no overt issues, although individual examples may display minor imperfections consistent with age and use. Considering the large number of separately suspended crystal elements, an occasional crystal may be lacking. No overt structural damage has been observed. As with any previously installed vintage electrical fixture, installation and continued service should be undertaken appropriately.
