AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Pair of DONALD J PLINER COUTURE women’s flats, size 7-1/2, marked MADE IN THE MOUNTAINS OF ITALY. Fashioned in black textile with coordinating trim, these feature an elegant elongated toe, low-profile flat silhouette, oval cutout over the vamp and distinctive crossover straps wrapping diagonally across the foot. The refined construction gives them the look of sophisticated Mary Jane or ballet-style dress flats, with the crossing straps adding both structure and visual interest. Black interiors are branded Couture DONALD J PLINER, and the pair is accompanied by the original branded black drawstring storage bag. Donald J Pliner is a noted American footwear designer whose career grew from his family’s Chicago shoe business into luxury fashion retail on Rodeo Drive. He launched his namesake footwear collection in 1989 and became particularly recognized for combining fashion-forward design with comfort, often using stretch fabrics, unusual materials and distinctive silhouettes. His shoes were carried by leading luxury retailers and developed a strong following through the 1990s and 2000s. Pliner was inducted into the Kent State University School of Fashion Hall of Fame in 2025 in recognition of his contributions to American fashion and footwear design. This Couture pair is additionally marked MADE IN THE MOUNTAINS OF ITALY, reflecting the Italian production associated with some of Pliner’s higher-end footwear. The black coloring, low-profile form and sculptural crossover straps make these a versatile designer pair suitable for dress, office or evening wear. CONDITION REPORT > Preowned condition with notable wear to the soles, consistent with typical use. Otherwise, well preserved and stored in the included dust bag. Please review photographs closely for overall condition, surfaces, interiors, trim and soles.
